This week, 14-20 May is Food Allergy Week here in Australia.
With 1 in 10 babies born in Australia having food allergies it is an epidemic that needs awareness, funds and research.

to find out how you can help raise awareness, show your support through your social media, or donate to help vital research.
I have taken some kids books about food allergies into Miss Js Kinder and the teachers are going to read them to the children. The fact that they are keen to help educate about allergies is so fantastic.
I also gave the teachers links to posters and info graphics to help raise awareness of food allergies amongst the kids. Every bit of awareness helps! 👍
So grab a social media badge to use on Facebook. Or paint 1 of your 10 fingers teal to represent the 1 in 10 kids. Ask your school, kinder, work, to put up a poster to help educate and raise awareness.
It is so important that awareness increases and that our kids with food allergies feel like everyone is on their side, not just their families. It only takes a little thing to make a big impact!
A snapshot of what food allergies are about can be found on the Food Allergy Aware website, a great resource.
Be aware. Show you care!
Happy Food Allergy Week!
