The Happ in This Happy Mumma is from my surname, Happ, probably not the cleverest play on a name, but I thought it had a ring to it.
My husband and I lived in the Hunter Valley until moving back to my hometown in South West Victoria in 2014, after our daughter developed severe, life threatening, food allergies. We realised after battling through the first 2 years of her allergy journey that we needed more support than just the 2 of us, so we made the big move back to be closer to my family.
Before becoming a Mum I was a Bloodstock Agent for Thoroughbred Horses in the Hunter Valley NSW, I also worked for a Racehorse Trainer at Flemington Vic. I have also worked in Recruitment and Marketing.
I will be blogging mainly about food allergies, the impact they have had on our live since our daughter’s first anaphylactic reaction at 5 months, what we have learnt in the 2 years since. I hope to share with other allergy families, information, resources, recipes, thoughts, discussions, whatever comes to mind basically!
I hope you’ll stick around to see where this blog takes us!
I would love to hear from any readers, feel free to send me an email anytime.
